Reiko and Ryosuke's relationship turns out to be great, and everybody is pleased with it, including Keito.
He admits to his defeat, asking to have a fresh start, which Reiko agrees to.On the other hand,
Michiko develops a little crush for Inoo, which didn't start off too well because she thought she
had no chance with him, since she assumed he liked Reiko. But as the two find out they have
mutual feelings for eachother, they confess. The rest of the members are all happy for eachother,
some disagreements come up every now and then, but the friends realize that fighting doesn't
get them anywhere, and that their relationship is unbreakable.

When she reached Chiiâs porch, she was breathing hard. She pressed the doorbell repetitively, no one was responding. She pressed it a couple more times, until someone opened the door.
âWhat do you---" Ryosuke said as he was opening the door.
When Reiko saw Ryosuke, she quickly pulled Ryosuke into a tight hug.
âWhat are you doing----"Ryosuke didnât get to finish his sentence as he heard Reiko crying.
âItâs all my fault Ryosuke, Iâm sorry for not believing you. Asking you to apologize when it wasn't actually your fault.â Reiko said as she cried harder.
âItâs okay, donât worry about it.â Ryosuke said as he hugged her back.
âIâm so sorry.â Reiko sobbed.
âItâs your birthday, stop crying silly.â Ryosuke said as he wiped the tears away from Reikoâs cheeks.
âHere come on, come inside.â Ryosuke said pulling Reiko inside the house.

âHey guys⊠how about we go and apologize?â Inoo offered.

-At Chiiâs house-
âWait here, I will get you some dry clothes to wear, or else your going to get sick.â Ryosuke said as he hurried upstairs, limping.
Reiko was waiting near the staircase, wiping the last of her tears. Reiko noticed that Ryosuke was limping up the stairs, mustâve been when he was climbing her window yesterday.
âHere, go change into these.â Ryosuke said as he gave Reiko one of his shirts and a pair of shorts.
Reiko looked at them and exclaimed, âbut these are guys clothes!â
Ryosuke went back upstairs to get his favourite strawberry shirt.
âI canât do anything about the shorts but hereâs my favourite strawberry shirt.â Ryosuke smiled.
âYou wear strawberry shirts.â Reiko said as a grin slowly appeared on her face.
As Reiko was changing upstairs, Ryosuke was thinking about what happened at Reikoâs party, didnât Keito confess to Reiko? Shouldnât she be having fun at her party? Why would she just come here and apologize? He decided he would ask her when she came back down.
After Reiko was done changing, she came downstairs to the living room. She sat beside Ryosuke on the sofa. She looked at his face, it was full of bruises.
âIâm so sorry, Ryosuke. Itâs all my fault.â Reiko said once again looking down.
âItâs not your fault.â Ryosuke said calmly.
âBut what about your faceâŠâReiko said as tears began falling again.
âDonât worry about it. Why did you come here crying? Shouldnât you be at your party?â Ryosuke asked as he pulled her into a hug.
âI came here to see if you were alrightâŠ.â Reiko explained. She didnât know if she wanted to tell him that she liked him or not. Does she have the courage to? What if I confess to him and he ends up saying something mean? Reiko thought.
There was an awkward silence. It was 11:45pm.
âWait here for a second.â Ryosuke said.
Ryosuke disappeared and came back with a shiny black box. He took out the shiny strawberry necklace and put it in his palm. He went behind Reiko and put it on for her. She turned around slowly in surprise.
âI know this is late, but Happy birthday Reiko.â Ryosuke said giving her a bright smile.
âThank you⊠but I donât deserve this.â Reiko said as she was trying to take it off.
âOf course you do, Reiko. I love you, although I made you angry, and sad at others, before but I want to make you happy.â Ryosuke said
âIâŠ.â Reiko got cut off as the doorbell rang.
âI will be right back.â Ryosuke said smiling at Reiko.
Ryosuke opened the door, surprised to see Hey! Say! Jump and Michiko standing out there.
âCome in!â Ryosuke said as he lead them in.
Before coming in, Hey! Say! Jump except for Yuto and Chii all bowed.
âWeâre sorry.â Yabu said on behalf of the others.
âPlease forgive us, we were wrong.â Takaki said.
âItâs alright, donât worry about it. Come in.â Ryosuke smiled.
They talked for a while, having fun, laughing at each other's jokes. It was 1am. It was too late to go back home anyways, so they all decided to sleep over at Chiiâs house. The guys would be sleeping in the living room and Chiiâs room. While Michiko and Reiko would be sleeping in Ryosuke room.
-In Ryosuke room-
âDid you tell him?â Michiko asked.
â..noâ Reiko respond looking down.
âWhy didnât you?â Michiko asked.
âI was about toâŠ.but then you guys came.â Reiko said, putting the blame on the others.
âBut he gave you that necklace, didnât he?â Michiko asked, pointing at the necklace dangling from Reiko's neck.
âYupâ Reiko said as she played with it in her fingers.
-In Chii's room- (Ryosuke, Daiki, Yuto and Chii)
âHey Ryosuke! Iâm sorry for yelling at you.â Daiki said.
âItâs alright.â Ryosuke said smiling.
âTruly sorry.â Daiki said.
âSTOP APOLOGIZING!â Chii shouted.
âAlright, alright. Calm down Chii. Oh Ryosuke by the way, go out with my sister if you want to.â Daiki said.
âYAMACHAN! Did you confess to Reiko yet?â Chii asked.
âYeahâŠbut.â Ryosuke said.
âBUT WHAT, YAMACHAN!?â Chii shouted.
âSo are you guys going out now?â Yuto asked, excited.
âNo⊠I donât even know if she likes me or not.â Ryosuke slouched.

âYEAH DIDNâT SHE?â Yuto yelled a bit too loud.
âYou guys rang the doorbell before she could respond!â Ryosuke said.

âItâs true, when we were playing truth or dare, when Keito confessed to Reiko asking her to be his girlfriend. She said I will think about it.â Chii said.
âSee, that means she could like Keito.â Ryosuke said.
âYeah but when we asked her who she likes, she couldnât respond. Then she started crying.â Yuto explained.
Ryosuke grabbed Yuto's shirt collar. âYOU MADE HER CRY?â Ryosuke screeched.
âCalm down Ryosuke!â Daiki said, pulling Ryosuke's hands off.
âThen we were eavesdropping on her and Michiko, and she said she canât decide between Keito and Ryosuke, so she probably doesnât like Keito anymore.â Chii continued without waiting for the two to settle down.
âGo to sleep guys!â Ryosuke said as he walked out of the room, planning to go outside to relax.
As he was about to turn the doorknob to go outside, he saw Reiko with Inoo. Reiko was smiling. He decided just to go back upstairs. But Reiko saw him.
âRyosuke!â Reiko called out softly not trying to wake the members sleeping in the living room.
Ryosuke turned around to see Reiko.
âInoo and I are just friendsâ Reiko said.
âI know thatâ Ryosuke said as he was about to walk up the stairs when he felt a hand wrapped around his waist.
âI love you.â Reiko said softly enough for Ryosuke to hear.
Finally, the words he'd wanted to hear for so long, had came out of her mouth. His heart flipped and he felt like dancing, but he stayed calm. Ryosuke slowly unwrapped Reiko arms to turn around and see her face. "I love you too."
The lights turned on and laughter was heard. Ryosuke and Reiko were facing Hikaru, Yabu, Ryutaro, Inoo and Keito.
âAre we interrupting anything?â Hikaru laughed.
âGo away!â Ryosuke said as he held on to Reiko's hand bringing her upstairs. As they reached upstairs, Ryosuke pulled her into a short but passionate kiss.
âGood night.â He gave her another kiss on the forehead, and made his way back to his room.

Keito and Daiki left Reiko's room, to let her rest. She tried to sleep but she could only concentrate on why Ryosuke didn't apologize. Although she only knew him for about a month,
she got to know a lot about him. She knew that he would apologize if he was wrong. She kept on wondering why he didnât apologize for the rest of the night as she slowly fell asleep.
Ryosuke was standing outside the house he once lived in. He was deciding if he should actually climb into Reikoâs room. Heâd done it before, but what if Daiki was still in her room? He realized it would be too late for Daiki to be in Reikoâs room, considering it was 1am. He couldnât go through the front door or he wouldâve woken up Daiki and Reiko.
Ryosuke slowly began climbing up the white poles outside of the house. He was being very careful not to make any loud noises and to not hit anything that would cause him to hurt himself.
The window was slightly open already, so he gently lifted the window, popping his head inside Reikoâs room.
He saw Reiko lying in her bed, slowly twisting her body to his direction, which made Ryosuke think that she was awake. But he heard soft snores from her, and he realized that she was asleep.
He looked around to see if anyone else was in her room. No one else was there. Something caught his eye though. He saw a picture frame, it had a photo of Reiko and Keito. He walked closer to it, the photo had Reiko and Keito arms wrapped around each other shoulders. He wanted to throw the picture frame out of the window, but that wouldâve woke Reiko up. He was getting a bit jealous until he heard Reiko muttering something. So he walked closer to her.
âRyosukeâŠ.just apologizeâŠ..donât get Daiki mad.â Reiko muttered in her sleep.
Ryosuke was holding onto Reikoâs hands now.
âdonât fight with KeitoâŠ..heâs a nice guy.â
He was getting a bit angry now.
âIâŠ.loveâŠâ Ryosuke didnât want to hear Keito's name at the end of that line, so he quickly jumped out the window without bothering to be careful. When he landed, he heard a crack coming from his ankle. Ryosuke tried to run but he couldnât, he had twisted his ankle. So he limped back to Chii's house, where he saw Chii wandering around the front of the street. Chi ran towards him.
âWhatâs wrong with your ankle?â Chii asked concerned.
âI twisted it.â Ryosuke replied.
âWhere were you? I got so scared when I couldnât find you in my house!â Chii was really worried.
âI just went to Daikiâs house.â Ryosuke explained.
âYOU? WHAT?â Chii shouted.
âDid Daiki do that to your ankle?â Chii asked.
âNoâŠI didnât even see Daiki, I went to Reikoâs room.â Ryosuke said as he continued limping into Chi's house.
âDid you fall down the stairs or something?â Chii was confused now.
âCan you stop asking so many questions? I climbed the house to get to Reikoâs room.â Ryosuke said annoyed.
'So my theory was right' Chinen thought to himself. A while ago, Chi had thought that Ryosuke liked Reiko, but he wasn't brave enough to tell his friend his opinion, incase he denied it. But this time Ryosuke couldn't deny anything.
âYou like Reiko, donât you Ryosuke?â Chii asked.
âNo, why would I like her?â Ryosuke asked, hopping up the stairs to the door.
âWhy would you go climb her house at 1am then, Ryosuke? It must mean you like her right?â Chii asked, positive that he was right.
âI was going to get my strawberry candies.â Ryosuke lied.
âShe ate them all, remember?â Chii noted.
âWhatever, Iâm going to sleep.â Ryosuke exclaimed.
The next day it was Reikoâs birthday party. Her sweet sixteen.It was Keito's job to bring Reiko out, so Daiki and Michiko would have time to set up everything.
After Keito and Reiko left to go see a movie, Michiko came over. She saw Daiki packing someone's belongings.
âDo you need me to go get anything?â Michiko asked. It didn't seem like he needed her help with anything else.
âUhm.. well can you do me a huge favour?â Daiki asked, turning around with the stuff in his arms.
âSure thing.â Michiko responded.
âCan you bring this over to this house?" He pointed to a paper that had an address on it.
âUmmmâŠsure, but can I ask who this is for?â Michiko questioned him.
âYou already asked the question. But it's for some guy named Ryosuke.â Daiki explained.
So Michiko left the house with the bag of luggage, searching for the street. She found the house and was greeted by a short boy with a cute smile across his face.
âHey there! Can I help you?â Chii asked politely.
âUmmm⊠this is for.. Ryosuke, I believe?â Michiko said, as she read the paper again.
âHere let me get that for you, come right on in.â Chii said as he took the bag from Reiko.
âThank you.â Michiko entered Chii's house.
âDid Daiki give you this?â Chii asked. He was looking through the bag and found Ryosuke's clothes and other belongings inside.
âUhh yeah, he sounded really mad when he was packing up Ryosuke's belongings.â Michiko explained.
âMustâve been the Reiko thing, eh?â Chii muttered to himself. But Michiko heard Reiko's name.
âWHAT ABOUT REIKO!?â Michiko was in sudden shock.
Ryosuke heard the mentioning of his beloved's name from upstairs, and he limped downstairs.
"WHAT. REIKO WHAT? Did dsomething happen to her?"
âRyosuke meet uhhâŠ..â Chii looked at Michiko for help, he hadn't caught her name.
âMichiko.â She finished.
âMichiko came over to deliver this bag of yours.â Chii told him.
âHuh? Whatâs in that bag?â Ryosuke asked.
âYour stuff.â Chii said.
âDaiki asked me to deliver it. But what were you saying about Reiko, Chi?â Michiko asked.
âYEAHHH!â Ryosuke agreed, wanting to know what the fuss about her was.
âNo, I was just saying that Daiki is probably giving your stuff back because of what happened yesterday.â Chii explained.
âOhâŠâ Ryosuke looked down and started to head towards the kitchen.
âIs he okay? What happened to him?â Michiko asked in concern.
Chii began his story, and Ryosuke was listening in on the whole thing. Michiko paid close attention to the story because her best friend was involved in this.
âWhy didnât anyone tell Daiki?â Michiko asked.
âYuto and I arenât brave enoughâŠ.â Chii said as he slowly faced the floor in shame.
âItâs okay if you guys didn't explain. BUT RYOSUKE! WHY DIDNâT YOU EXPLAIN TO HIM?â Michiko was really confused.
âWell, I didnât have time to explain. He wouldn't let me explain.â Ryosuke told her.
Michiko was getting angry because everybody believed Keito. Even though she never knew him well, she already disliked him for lying. This wasn't how you got a girl. Ryosuke was the innocent one, not this random guy named Keito. Michiko didnât know Ryosuke for a long time, she just met him, but she figured that he truely did love Reiko. She could tell by his actions.
"I'm going to go talk to Daiki" Michiko said.
"WAIT DON'T" Ryosuke yelled.
"But why? Do you want to get blamed for no reason" Michiko asked.
"No, but I don't want Reiko's party to be screwed up because of me. So please, just don't" Ryosuke said tears welling in his eyes.
"OH SHOOT! I have to head back. Reiko's party will be starting soon. Are you guys coming" Michiko asked
"No sorry" Ryosuke said
"Oh okay" Michiko made her way out the door, then suddenly stopped.
"Is there something wrong" Ryosuke questioned
"I forgot where Daiki lives" Michiko said, smacking her forehead
"Chii, you want to take her there?" Ryosuke asked
"Okay sure. If you don't mind then, I will bring you back there Michiko" Chii said smiling
"Bye Ryosuke!" Both Chii and Michiko said at the same time.
Chii and Michiko head towards Daiki's house. They started talking about Ryosuke and Reiko. They wanted to help them.
"Hey, will you be staying at the party. Or are you going back to Ryosuke? I think he may be lonely" Michiko said to Chii.
"I think I will stay, just to watch over some things for Ryosuke. That's probably the only reason he suggested me to bring you back here. "Chii said as they walked up the stairs to Daiki's house.
"Hey Daiki" they both called out as they stepped foot in the house.
It seemed like the rest of Hey! Say! Jump was already there.
Michiko faintly remeber something.... she was remember why she thought Daiki looked so familiar. She glanced around at the other people standing around her.
"YOU GUYS....YOU GUYS ARE HEY! SAY! JUMP?!?!?!?!" Michiko screamed.
So she really does know us, Daiki thought.
"SHUSH" Inoo said as he dragged Michiko with him, hiding in a corner.
"Guys, back to the hiding spots." Yabu said
"They will be coming home soon."Daiki claimed
Five minutes later, the sound of keys could be heard outside the door.
"I wonder why it's so dark in here" RTeiko said half way turning the doorknob.
"SURPRISE!" everybody screamed out.
"WHAT?" Reiko screamed in shock.
"Happy birthday." Keito whispered in her ears.
The lights turned on, Reiko looked around the room. She saw her brother's bandmates, and her best friend, Michiko.
"MICHIKO!!!" Reiko ran to her
"REIKO! I missed you so much!" Michiko squeeled.
"I know same here." Reiko said as tears slowly fell down her cheeks.
"It's your birthday, stop crying already!" Michiko said and hugged Reiko tightly.
Reiko scanned the room once again, she noticed that Ryosuke wasn't there. But she couldn't let Ryosuke be the reason for her to be sad on her birthday. Especially s ince Michiko came all the way from Canada. Reiko wiped the tears away and managed to pull a smile.
They started with playing many different games such as Rock Band, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart and many more. They all had a lot of fun. Reiko felt something was missing the whole time. Keito was flirting with Reiko the whole time. Which really ticked Michiko, Chii and Yuto off.
It was time for the birthday cake. Daiki came in the living room with a big fat cake with strawberries all over it. They began singing the happy birthday song.

After Reiko blew out the candles, Keito kissed her on the cheek. The rest of Jump did too, some hugged her, and some kissed on her the cheeks.

"Yeah... if Ryosuke was here, he would've loved it" Yuto said
"BAKA!" Takaki said, as he hit Yuto on the back of his head.
"Yumm...the cake tastes so good." Hikaru said taking another bite into his cake.
"After eating the cake, Reiko began to open her gifts. At first, she wanted to tell them to take it back since she didn't really like receiving presents. But since they gave it to her already, she decided she might as well enjoy them. Keito gave her the Michael Jordan jersey, she was really happy. She ended up hugging Keito tightly. Yabu and Hikaru bought Reiko a huge stuff animal. Inoo and Ryutaro bought her a basketball net, so she could just play at her house instead of going to the park to play. Takaki bought her some hair products, so she could style her hair. Daiki bought her a nice silver bracelet. Yuto and Chii bought her a Strawberry package, full with strawberries related things.
"I hope you like it" Chii said
"Yeah, Ryosuke told us you like strawberries" Yuto said
"Who wants to play truth or dare?" Keito suggested.
"i'm up for it!" Hiakru said.
"ME TOO!" Ryutaro agreed.
Soon all of them agreed to play
"Hey Hikaru, truth or dare" Yabu asked.
"Dare" Hikaru replied.
"Ohhh really.... I dare you to pole dance" Yabu said laughing. (Author note: Sorry guys, but this is just for the fun of truth or dare. This doesn't mean anything)
Everybody was laughing when Hikaru started pole dancing. Soon more and more funny dares came up. Everyone was revealing each person' secrets until..
"Keito, truth or dare" Takaki asked
"Truth" Keito replied
"Who do you like?" Takaki asked
Keito looked over at Reiko and said "Reiko."
Everybody started gossiping like little girls. Chii took out his phone and quickly texted Ryosuke, saying "Hurry come! I think Keito might be confessing to Reiko soon. Hurry before it's too late Ryosuke."
Not too long after, Ryosuke texted back saying, " I don't care."
Keito walked slowly toward Reiko. He stood infront of her, staring deep into her eyes, which freaked Reiko out.
"Reiko Arioka, wil you like to be my girlfriend?" Keito asked
Reiko didn't know how to respond. Michiko knew Reiko would say yes to Keito, even if she didn't like him, because she didn't know how to turn down a guy.
"Can I have some time to think about about it" Reiko asked.
"Sure." Keito said. He was sure she would say yes anyway, no matter how long she took.
After some time later, it was Chii's turn to ask somebody, and he decided to pick Reiko, hoping she picked truth.
"Reiko, truth or dare?" Chii asked
"Truth." Reiko replied
"Why do you like?" Chii asked
Reiko didn't know how to reply, she knew that she only thought of Keito as a best friend. But did she really like Ryosuke? After a while of thinking, she couldn't come up with an answer.
"So, who do you like" Chii repeated
" I DON'T KNOW!" Reiko yelled, as she ran out of the living room to the backayard.
Keito was about to run after her, however, Michiko got up and told him she would go after her. Michiko spooted Reiko in the backyard, sitting on the swing, crying.
"It's okay, Reiko" Michiko said as she hugged her.
"But I'm so confused, I don't know who I like." Reiko said
"Is there two guys?" Michiko asked
"Ryosuke and Keito..."Reiko said through sobs.
"I really don't know, Keito is really nice to me, and I have a lot of fun hanging out with him. But Ryosuke always makes me mad whenever I talk to him, but I feel like I understand him well. It's like something is missing insde of me when I'm not with him." Reiko continued
"I think you treat Keito more like a best friend, and I can tell Ryosuke likes you too. I talked to him this afternoon." Michiko said
"No, you're wrong. Ryosuke doesn't like me, he hates me." Reiko began to cry even harder.
Hey! Say! Jump was eavesdropping in on the conversation the whole time. Daiki heard that his sister likes

"HOW COULD YOU LIKE RYOSUKE? AFTER ALL HE'S DONE TO YOU" Daiki shouted
"WHAT DID HE EVER DO TO HER" Michiko shouted back
"YOU HAVEN'T SEEN YESTERDAY." Daiki yelled
"SHE DIDN'T, BUT I DID" Chii shouted at them
"ME TOO." Yuto stood next to Chii.
"It wasn't Ryosuke's fault, it was Keito fault all along. Ryosuke wasn't the one who started the fighting, it was Keito. Ryosuke was just hugging Reiko, then Keito came out of nowhere and started beating up Ryosuke. When Reiko told Keito to stop, he wouldn't, and he pushed Reiko toward the floor. Ryosuke got mad, so he punched Keito in the face." Chii explained.
They all froze, except for Michiko and Yuto.
"After, you guys kicked him out of the house yesterday, he came back late at night. He was wandering around the house several times, then he climbed through Reiko's window. When he was leaving, he jumped out of the window and sprained his ankle." Chii finished
Reiko began crying harder now.
"Ryosuke was trying to protect Reiko, how could you say that about him!" Michiko shouted.
"Now, he's at Chii's house all by himself." Michiko said, letting go of the hug with Reiko.
Reiko began running, running away from the house. She was heading toward Chii's house. It started raining really hard, she didn't care. It made her run faster and faster. How she have told Ryosuke to apologize yesterday?
she got to know a lot about him. She knew that he would apologize if he was wrong. She kept on wondering why he didnât apologize for the rest of the night as she slowly fell asleep.
Ryosuke was standing outside the house he once lived in. He was deciding if he should actually climb into Reikoâs room. Heâd done it before, but what if Daiki was still in her room? He realized it would be too late for Daiki to be in Reikoâs room, considering it was 1am. He couldnât go through the front door or he wouldâve woken up Daiki and Reiko.
Ryosuke slowly began climbing up the white poles outside of the house. He was being very careful not to make any loud noises and to not hit anything that would cause him to hurt himself.
The window was slightly open already, so he gently lifted the window, popping his head inside Reikoâs room.
He saw Reiko lying in her bed, slowly twisting her body to his direction, which made Ryosuke think that she was awake. But he heard soft snores from her, and he realized that she was asleep.
He looked around to see if anyone else was in her room. No one else was there. Something caught his eye though. He saw a picture frame, it had a photo of Reiko and Keito. He walked closer to it, the photo had Reiko and Keito arms wrapped around each other shoulders. He wanted to throw the picture frame out of the window, but that wouldâve woke Reiko up. He was getting a bit jealous until he heard Reiko muttering something. So he walked closer to her.
âRyosukeâŠ.just apologizeâŠ..donât get Daiki mad.â Reiko muttered in her sleep.
Ryosuke was holding onto Reikoâs hands now.
âdonât fight with KeitoâŠ..heâs a nice guy.â
He was getting a bit angry now.
âIâŠ.loveâŠâ Ryosuke didnât want to hear Keito's name at the end of that line, so he quickly jumped out the window without bothering to be careful. When he landed, he heard a crack coming from his ankle. Ryosuke tried to run but he couldnât, he had twisted his ankle. So he limped back to Chii's house, where he saw Chii wandering around the front of the street. Chi ran towards him.
âWhatâs wrong with your ankle?â Chii asked concerned.
âI twisted it.â Ryosuke replied.
âWhere were you? I got so scared when I couldnât find you in my house!â Chii was really worried.
âI just went to Daikiâs house.â Ryosuke explained.
âYOU? WHAT?â Chii shouted.
âDid Daiki do that to your ankle?â Chii asked.
âNoâŠI didnât even see Daiki, I went to Reikoâs room.â Ryosuke said as he continued limping into Chi's house.
âDid you fall down the stairs or something?â Chii was confused now.
âCan you stop asking so many questions? I climbed the house to get to Reikoâs room.â Ryosuke said annoyed.
'So my theory was right' Chinen thought to himself. A while ago, Chi had thought that Ryosuke liked Reiko, but he wasn't brave enough to tell his friend his opinion, incase he denied it. But this time Ryosuke couldn't deny anything.
âYou like Reiko, donât you Ryosuke?â Chii asked.
âNo, why would I like her?â Ryosuke asked, hopping up the stairs to the door.
âWhy would you go climb her house at 1am then, Ryosuke? It must mean you like her right?â Chii asked, positive that he was right.
âI was going to get my strawberry candies.â Ryosuke lied.
âShe ate them all, remember?â Chii noted.
âWhatever, Iâm going to sleep.â Ryosuke exclaimed.
The next day it was Reikoâs birthday party. Her sweet sixteen.It was Keito's job to bring Reiko out, so Daiki and Michiko would have time to set up everything.
After Keito and Reiko left to go see a movie, Michiko came over. She saw Daiki packing someone's belongings.
âDo you need me to go get anything?â Michiko asked. It didn't seem like he needed her help with anything else.
âUhm.. well can you do me a huge favour?â Daiki asked, turning around with the stuff in his arms.

âCan you bring this over to this house?" He pointed to a paper that had an address on it.
âUmmmâŠsure, but can I ask who this is for?â Michiko questioned him.
âYou already asked the question. But it's for some guy named Ryosuke.â Daiki explained.
So Michiko left the house with the bag of luggage, searching for the street. She found the house and was greeted by a short boy with a cute smile across his face.
âHey there! Can I help you?â Chii asked politely.
âUmmm⊠this is for.. Ryosuke, I believe?â Michiko said, as she read the paper again.
âHere let me get that for you, come right on in.â Chii said as he took the bag from Reiko.

âUhh yeah, he sounded really mad when he was packing up Ryosuke's belongings.â Michiko explained.

âWHAT ABOUT REIKO!?â Michiko was in sudden shock.

âDaiki asked me to deliver it. But what were you saying about Reiko, Chi?â Michiko asked.

âNo, I was just saying that Daiki is probably giving your stuff back because of what happened yesterday.â Chii explained.
âOhâŠâ Ryosuke looked down and started to head towards the kitchen.
âIs he okay? What happened to him?â Michiko asked in concern.
Chii began his story, and Ryosuke was listening in on the whole thing. Michiko paid close attention to the story because her best friend was involved in this.
âWhy didnât anyone tell Daiki?â Michiko asked.
âYuto and I arenât brave enoughâŠ.â Chii said as he slowly faced the floor in shame.
âItâs okay if you guys didn't explain. BUT RYOSUKE! WHY DIDNâT YOU EXPLAIN TO HIM?â Michiko was really confused.
âWell, I didnât have time to explain. He wouldn't let me explain.â Ryosuke told her.
Michiko was getting angry because everybody believed Keito. Even though she never knew him well, she already disliked him for lying. This wasn't how you got a girl. Ryosuke was the innocent one, not this random guy named Keito. Michiko didnât know Ryosuke for a long time, she just met him, but she figured that he truely did love Reiko. She could tell by his actions.
"I'm going to go talk to Daiki" Michiko said.
"WAIT DON'T" Ryosuke yelled.
"But why? Do you want to get blamed for no reason" Michiko asked.
"No, but I don't want Reiko's party to be screwed up because of me. So please, just don't" Ryosuke said tears welling in his eyes.
"OH SHOOT! I have to head back. Reiko's party will be starting soon. Are you guys coming" Michiko asked
"No sorry" Ryosuke said
"Oh okay" Michiko made her way out the door, then suddenly stopped.
"Is there something wrong" Ryosuke questioned
"I forgot where Daiki lives" Michiko said, smacking her forehead
"Chii, you want to take her there?" Ryosuke asked
"Okay sure. If you don't mind then, I will bring you back there Michiko" Chii said smiling
"Bye Ryosuke!" Both Chii and Michiko said at the same time.
Chii and Michiko head towards Daiki's house. They started talking about Ryosuke and Reiko. They wanted to help them.
"Hey, will you be staying at the party. Or are you going back to Ryosuke? I think he may be lonely" Michiko said to Chii.
"I think I will stay, just to watch over some things for Ryosuke. That's probably the only reason he suggested me to bring you back here. "Chii said as they walked up the stairs to Daiki's house.
"Hey Daiki" they both called out as they stepped foot in the house.
It seemed like the rest of Hey! Say! Jump was already there.
Michiko faintly remeber something.... she was remember why she thought Daiki looked so familiar. She glanced around at the other people standing around her.
"YOU GUYS....YOU GUYS ARE HEY! SAY! JUMP?!?!?!?!" Michiko screamed.
So she really does know us, Daiki thought.
"SHUSH" Inoo said as he dragged Michiko with him, hiding in a corner.
"Guys, back to the hiding spots." Yabu said
"They will be coming home soon."Daiki claimed
Five minutes later, the sound of keys could be heard outside the door.
"I wonder why it's so dark in here" RTeiko said half way turning the doorknob.
"SURPRISE!" everybody screamed out.

The lights turned on, Reiko looked around the room. She saw her brother's bandmates, and her best friend, Michiko.

"I know same here." Reiko said as tears slowly fell down her cheeks.
"It's your birthday, stop crying already!" Michiko said and hugged Reiko tightly.
Reiko scanned the room once again, she noticed that Ryosuke wasn't there. But she couldn't let Ryosuke be the reason for her to be sad on her birthday. Especially s ince Michiko came all the way from Canada. Reiko wiped the tears away and managed to pull a smile.

Iâm getting ready to pick up my sisterâs friend, Michiko, from the airport right now. I hear music coming from downstairs, itâs probably Reiko playing the piano. As I pulled the pink t-shirt over my head, I faintly heard âStar Timeâ playing. Where was it coming from? My computer wasnât on, and my phone ringtone doesn't sound like that either. Weird. I made my way toward the music. The next thing I know, I was heading downstairs towards the piano. Reiko was playing âStar TimeââŠ.what? She knew about Hey! Say! Jump before coming here?
âWhoa Reiko, you know how to play Star Time?â I asked when the song was coming to an end.
âYeah I do. Whatâs so weird about itâŠâ Reiko asked while starting to play Mayonaka No Shadow Boy.
âWHOA YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY MAYONAKA NO SHADOW BOY TOO?!â Daiki yelled.
âHow do you even know⊠the name of the songs Iâm playing?â Reiko asked.
âMy band sings those songs, itâs songs from Hey! Say! Jump.â Daiki explained.
âWHAT?!?!â Reiko asked.
âYeahâŠ. See I told you my band is POPULAR.â Daiki shouted, proud of his band.
My sister continued playing some more songs from Johnnyâs Entertainment, I can tell Reiko and Inoo get along well. I wonder if she even listens to Japanese songs. Ever since she came back from Canada, when I passed by her room. I always hear western music coming from her iPod.
âHey Reiko! Do you even listen to Japanese songs?â Daiki asked curiously.
âOf course,â Reiko said with a smile on her face.
âMayonaka No something boy by some band,â Reiko said.
âMAYONAKA NO SHADOW BOY? I told you already, my band sings itâ Daiki said
âI donât believe you, your band probably sounds really bad. Since they have Ryosuke in itâ Reiko said.
âOkay fine, I will prove it to you. Whatâs your favourite part from the song then?â Daiki asked, trying to get to know his sister better.
âWhy are you asking me so many questions all of a sudden? Well ummm⊠I like the first shadow.â Reiko replied.
WhoaâŠ. So she likes Ryosukeâs part. How can you be so clueless? Is she secretly hiding that she does not know about Jump or is it really true? How can I even think my sister will be lying in the first place! I looked at my watch, I was going to be late for the airport! Reikoâs friend is coming, I have to go pick her up, Iâm not going to make it on time! I said bye to Reiko and headed for the door, picking up a pair of sunglasses and a hat on the way out.
As I arrived, I realized Michikoâs flight came about 10 minutes ago. I began running around the airport trying to find which gate she was coming from. I was carrying a sign that read âMichiko (Reikoâs friend)â. I noticed I didnât ask for her last name, how stupid am I? I finally arrived at the gate that her flight was coming from; Gate 15. I rushed to the line of people standing there and quickly put the sign in front of me. A girl about 5â3walked near me and was staring at my sign, slowly tilting her head for some reason.
She walked closer to me and said âHey Iâm errr Michiko.â
âReikoâs friend?â Daiki asked.
âYeahh, umm⊠you got your sign upside down.â Michiko said.
âOH CRAP! Sorry! No wonder you were tilting your head staring at the sign, I thought you were some creeper.â Daiki said.
After talking for a while, they decided to talk at a café.

âDonât worry,â Daiki said while holding on to Michikoâs wrist.
Eh.. why is my heart beating so fast? Michiko thought.

âHow about Tuesday, I told my friends to come on Tuesday.â Daiki said while taking off his cap and sunglasses.

Daiki was disappointed to hear that Ryosuke and Chii wouldnât be coming to Reikoâs birthday party. He wanted Reiko to have the best 16th birthday party ever. Since he didnât spend Reikoâs birthday with her for a long time. He thought Ryosuke would understand how he felt. They seemed like they were getting along better.
Ryosuke dragged Chii out of dance rehearsal, not wanting to hear the rest of the members saying 'Just come, we know you donât have plans, and you donât want to see Daikiâs disappointed face.'

Reiko was looking through a calendar in the house, she lost track of the days in the month. She checked, it was May 1st. That meant that tomorrow was May 2nd. Her 16th birthday was approaching in less than 24 hours. She hoped that Daiki wouldnât remember her birthday. She hated when people made a big deal out of birthdays, especially her birthday. Ever since she came back from Canada, she felt quite lonely. She wished Michiko would be there to talk to her.

âAre you free right now?â Keito asked.
âYeah,â Reiko replied.
âYou want to hang out?â Keito asked.
âSure,â Reiko said happily, she had nothing better to do anyways.
The two decided to hang out at the mall. They started talking about their likes and dislikes. It seemed like they had a lot in common. Their clothing styles were similar, so when they were shopping together at the mall, they helped each other pick out clothes, causing other customers to think that they were a couple. They passed by a sports store and Keito caught Reiko staring at a Michael Jordan jersey.
âYou like that?â Keito asked.
âYeah..uhh not really, itâs too expensive. Come on, Iâm hungry letâs go for lunch.â Reiko replied, tugging on Keitoâs arm.
Reiko and Keito were eating lunch, chatting and laughing at each other happily.
Ryosuke, Yuto and Chinen were shopping for Reikoâs gift. Somehow, Yuto had convinced Ryosuke to go, which let Chinen go too. They were heading to the food court to grab something to eat. Yuto was looking around to see which place he wants to eat at. Until he saw two people eating together happily laughing and chatting.
âHey! Isnât that Reiko and Keito?â Yuto asked, pointing at the two people a couple of metres away from them.
âWhoa! I think it is!â Chinen said in shock.
Ryosuke glanced at them. He never saw Reiko smiling so bright before. He then saw Keito brushing Reikoâs face. His hands turned into a fist.
Chinen saw and commented, âHey, calm down. Thereâs probably nothing going on between those two.â
âNot like it matters to me if there was something going on between them.â Ryosuke retorted.
âWell since it doesnât, letâs go join them.â Yuto said while skipping over to Reiko and Keitoâs table.
Chinen followed right behind Yuto, while Ryosuke was slowly dragging his legs. Reiko was laughing so much with Keito.
âHey guys!â Yuto said.
âYou guys are here too?â Reiko asked and saw Ryosuke was with them.
âHey Chi, Iâm going to go look around.â Ryosuke whispered to Chi. He couldnât stand a second of this nonsense. His pulse was getting faster and faster. He couldâve sworn that he was about to beat up Keito.
âHey Ryosuke!â Reiko yelled out wondering where Ryosuke was going.
Ryosuke turned around and glared at her.
âWhoa, Ryosuke looks scaryâŠI wonder what happened to him.â Keito said.
What if he thought Keito and I were going out? Reiko thought.

He heard a familiar voice yelling his name repetitively. It was Reikoâs voice, causing him to run even faster.
Reiko ran even faster, trying to catch up to him. She was an athlete in school anyways, so she got a hold of Ryosukeâs hand and squeezed it. She wasnât planning on letting go.
âWhat? Letâs go of me!â Ryosuke yelled out getting even more angry.
âItâs just a misunderstanding!â Reiko yelled back.
âI donât care about your life, go with Keito!â Ryosuke said trying to get out of the hold before he did something stupid that he would regret later.
When Reiko heard this, she felt like a knife just stabbed her in the heart. âOkay, fine.â She slowly dropped his hand and walked away. Tears were falling down her cheeks.

âHey Reiko, wait.â Ryosuke yelled, running toward Reiko.

âItâs okay, donât cry.â Ryosuke said while wiping off some of Reikoâs tears.
Keito, who saw the whole scene, got mad. He made Reiko cry, what right did he have to hug her? Keito ran up to them and pushed Ryosuke away from Reiko.

Keito punched Ryosuke a couple of times. Ryosuke was now on the ground, getting punched and kicked by Keito.
âSTOP IT KEITO!!â Reiko screamed, wanting the horror to stop.
Keito wouldnât stop, and soon Ryosuke looked like he was half dead. Reiko went in between their fight and decided to protect Ryosuke, before Keito killed him.
Keito decided to punch his hardest, when he punched, he realized he punched Reiko not Ryosuke. Keito pushed Reiko far away from Ryosuke, making her hit the ground hard. Ryosuke slowly crawled toward Reiko, while Keito punched him some more. Ryosuke had enough of this, he couldnât stand seeing the girl he liked be injured on the floor. He got up and punched Keito in the face. KAPOW. But at that very moment Daiki unfortunately came, only seeing Ryosukeâs fist fly into Keitoâs fact. Yuto and Chii were already there from the very beginning. As the fight had some what calmed down, Chii and Yuto went to help Ryosuke. Daiki saw his sister on the ground and got freaked out. He quickly picked up Reiko and put her on his back, carrying her away. On the way back to their house, Daiki demanded that Keito and Ryosuke give him an explanation on what had happened back there.
Ryosuke took Reiko upstairs while Keito was giving Daiki an explanation.
âSo what happened?â Daiki asked.
âReiko and I were just hanging out at the mall. Then Ryosuke, Yuto and Chii came. Reiko simply said hi, but Ryosuke ran off. Reiko got worried and went to look for him. But Ryosuke said harsh words to Reiko, so she started crying and then all of a sudden he started hugging her, so I told him to go leave Reiko alone, since her birthday was tomorrow. But then he began to punch me, for no reason at all. Reiko kept on telling him to stop but he pushed her towards the ground, claiming she was in the way. Of course I had to defend both myself and Reiko, so I threw some punches at Ryosuke.
Daiki was furious hearing what Keito said, he quickly ran up the stairs heading toward Reikoâs room. He saw Ryosuke holding tightly onto Reiko hand. Daiki threw a punch at Ryosuke, making him fall to the ground.
âDonât ever step into this house again, donât think you will be allowed to get in after what you did to Reiko and Keitoâ Daiki shouted.
Reiko heard some loud noises, and her eyes were slowly opening.
âWhatâs going on?â Reiko whispered trying to get her voice back to normal
âNothing, Ryosuke get out now!â Daiki screeched.
âWhat did Ryosuke do?â Reiko asked.
âDonât you remember Reiko, he was the one who hurt you.â Keito retorted.
âAll I remember is that, Ryosuke was on the ground, then someone pushed me toward the ground. Then before my eyes closed, I saw Ryosuke punching Keito.â Reiko said trying to think of anything else she missed.
âLet me clear things up for you. It was Ryosuke who pushed you to the ground.â Daiki said pushing Ryosuke out the door.

I rushed to the line of people standing there and quickly put the sign in front of me. A girl about 5â3walked near me and was staring at my sign, slowly tilting her head for some reason.

When the bell rang, Ryosuke ran out the classroom as fast as he could. He couldnât stand her staring at him. Although he sort of enjoyed it, but it was still pretty creepy. Nobody ever stared at him in class well except for the early days when he first went to this school. But then soon everybody started to just ignore him and began bullying him because he was just a nerd. But what everybody didnât know was that he was Ryosuke Yamada, a member of Hey! Say! Jump and not Ryosuke Izawa. Ryosuke ran until he made it out of the school. However, he realized that he had to bring Reiko home with him. But they also had practiceâŠ.
Ryosuke had waited for Reiko outside of the school for about half an hour. Yet there was still no signs of her.
As Ryosuke saw her with a bunch of guys and girls who was from their class, he ran up, grabbed her hand and head towards Johnnyâs building. They left shocking facial expressions on their classmates. Especially the male classmates, whom were now incredibly envious of Ryosuke, how a nerd was able to just pull her away.
âLET GO OF ME!â Reiko shouted. But Ryosuke just tightened his grip.
âNO! Were going to be late then!â he said.
âWHERE ARE WE GOING?â Reiko shouted confused, having intentions of getting kidnapped.
âPRACTICE!â Ryosuke shouted back.
As they entered the building, they saw posters everywhere, all the Johnnyâs group. Something caught Reikoâs eyes. It was a poster of ten guys, they were wearing white and red. One of them looked like her brother Daiki and the other looked like Ryosuke. Reiko thought Ryosuke looked really cute in that photo. On the side it said Hey! Say! Jump. She looked around the building, it was gigantic.
Ryosuke dragged her into the elevator. They stayed inside and waited for the fifth floor. They walked down a hallway that was filled with Hey! Say! Jump posters and some other bands. But it was mainly Hey! Say! Jump.
Reiko noticed that their hands were still together. A tint of pink appeared on her face, and she tried to pull away. But he just tightened his grip like he had before, so she just let him hold her hand.
When they finally reached the end of the hallway, they entered the Hey! Say! Jump practice room. Reiko was so lost, there were so many people. She was trying to count but lost count. It was a big room filled with mirrors. Was Hey! Say! Jump this popular? As they walked into the room, nine sets of eyes were staring at them.
âIs this your girlfriend?â Ryutaro asked excited.
âNo! Sheâs not my girlfriend, I have better taster then this!â Ryosuke said.
âExcuse me.â Reiko glared at him.
âOhh..I though she was your girlfriend since you guys are holding hands." Ryutaro pointed out
âYeahhh same here.â Hikaru said.
Oh my god, my sister and Ryosuke are holding hands⊠what happened to them? Are they dating? How come they didnât tell me anything? They better not be dating, or else I'll have to kill Ryosuke.
âRyosuke! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HOLDING ONTO MY SISTER'S HAND?â Daiki shouted.
âOh crap.â Ryosuke muttered to himself as he let go of Reiko's hand. He didnât even know why he was still holding onto her hand. Itâs not like he liked her or anything, it just felt nice holding onto her soft hands.
âWaitâŠthatâs your sister? She looks so different from the first time we saw!â Inoo claimed.
âSO WHY WERE YOU HOLDING ONTO MY SISTER HAND?â Daiki yelled.
âI was just uhâŠ..â Ryosuke couldnât finish his sentence.
Daiki ran up to Ryosuke and held him by his shirt collar, giving him a good blow in the face.
âDonât do it ever again Ryosuke.â Daiki warned.
Ryosuke was on the floor, his hand slowly touching his face. âOuchâ he cried out.
Reiko ran up to him, âAre you okay?â Reiko asked.
âYeahâŠIâm fine.â Ryosuke said while trying to ignore the pain.
âOh myâŠpretty boy, your face is ruined!" Reiko said to herself.
Reiko helped Ryosuke up and brought him to a couch. She helped him sit down and went to go get ice. When she found ice, she ran back to the Hey! Say! Jump practice room. She walked over to Ryosuke, and sat next to him. Reiko slowly placed the ice on his face.
âAHHâ Ryosuke yelled out.
âItâs okay I can do it by myself, I donât need your helpâ Ryosuke said while trying to get the bag of ice in Reikoâs hand. Their hands brushed slightly and Reiko dropped the bag of ice.
âNo, itâs okay. I have to help you, my brother caused your face to be like this.â Reiko said while picking the bag of ice back up and softly placing the bag of ice on his face.
Seeing my sister putting ice on my best friend's face just makes me want to punch him again. But his pretty face is ruined because of me. Would our friendship get ruined by this punch of mine? Should I go and say sorry? Most of all, are they really dating? If they are, should I not care about their relationship or should I disagree to them?
After what seemed like hours of thinking and watching Reiko placing the bag of ice on Ryosuke face, Daiki decided to go and apologize.
âThey really do look like a couple.â Takaki whispered to Daiki and the rest of the members.
âYeahh, a cute couple too.â Yuto agreed.
âBut donât they like fight everyday?â Keito asked.
Daiki walked over to Ryosuke and his sister to apologize.
âIâm so sorry Ryosuke, I just got angry that you were holding onto Reikoâs hand.â Daiki apologized.
âItâs okay man. I was just bringing your sister here since we had practice. Well in the future, I will know not to mess with your sister, right?â Ryosuke said, smiling.
When Reiko heard ânot to mess with your sisterâ, she felt sort of sad. Will this mean that in the future nothing could happen between them? She shook her head. No, she wouldnât even want to have anything happen between him.
With that, Daiki walked out of the room, making a text to every member saying:
"Guys, next Tuesday is Reiko's birthday. Come to my house at 6pm. It will be a surprise birthday party for her."
